Picks For Canadian Music Week 2015

The Do Good Badlies perform a high energy style of rock that is sure to get anyone moving. They combine the sounds of garage rock with the melodies and folk sounds of indie to create a unique and beautiful sound. The band is based in Toronto and has toured around Canada.

TWiMfest Day One - Take the Plunge

OK, earlier this year, the Do Good Badlies produced one of the best recovery sets I have ever seen, through a series of great songs, clever material selection and having fun, of which Daniel Greer was a major factor. So to say I was looking forward to his solo set would be putting it mildly. The set was delivered with a bluesy feel for the most part, with Daniel’s signature raspy vocals providing an edgy

Mother Leads - The Do Good Badlies

The DGB are a testament to the remaining existence of rock and roll. In a world of digital jargon, having bands like The DGB around to write, record, and play real honest music is always something

The DGB - Emerging Artist Spotlight (NXNE 2013)

Here is what they had to say to us:
  • Hey The DGB, thanks for taking the time out to talk to us. Let’s start off with the obligatory introductions. Who’s in the band and what instrument does everyone rock?
BANDNAME:  We’re kinda like a hockey team with two netminders. Steve Jackett and Jamie Robinson handle the duties of the drums and it’s always a surprise which one starts the gig. Cassie Noble, Jon Greer, and myself (Daniel Greer) front the project, all handling some the lead vocals and switching between guitar and bass and other knick knacks.
  • How about the history of the band, when did you get started and how did it happen?

Primer Día del Queen Street Festival (Toronto)

After Odd Years and the venue becoming emptier by the minute, I was already feeling bad for The Do Good Badlies. Well I was wrong. Very wrong. This is my second most startling band of the night!!!!. It’s no mean achievement keeping 20 people engaged with a catalogue of  songs not many in the audience knew, but The Do Good Badlies prove there are still bands with a lot to say that’s worthy of a listen. Their raw energy is similar to what I experience when I first saw Hayley Stark. Hey!!! There is an idea for you Music City North: Get The Do Good Badlies and Hayley Stark to perform together. Just make sure there is enough AC to keep the temperature down, because these guys deliver high voltage!!!!
